How we calculate

Every number in a Jyotish AI by Saavira report is calculated by code first; AI only explains the verified result. Planet positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsa, and numerology values come from fixed formulas. The AI never does arithmetic or astronomy.
The three steps
- Calculate. Code computes the chart or the numbers from your birth details.
- Verify. The results are fixed as a verified fact sheet. Tables and chart diagrams in the report are drawn from it by code, not written by the AI.
- Explain. The AI writes the interpretation from that fact sheet. Its draft is checked against the chart, and a section that contradicts it is rewritten.

Numerology (Numeroscope)
- Mulank (birth number): the day of birth, its digits added and reduced to one digit.
- Bhagyank (destiny number): every digit of the full date of birth added, then reduced.
- Lo Shu Grid: the digits of the date of birth (zeros excluded) placed on the 3×3 grid, then extended with Bhagyank, Mulank (for birth days 11 and above, except 20 and 30) and the current life-cycle planet.
- Name number: the Chaldean letter values of your name.
- Personal Year: from your birth day and month with the current year.
Worked example
For a made-up birth date of 15/08/1990, the engine gives:
- Mulank: 15 → 1 + 5 = 6
- Bhagyank: 1 + 5 + 0 + 8 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 33
What the calculations cannot do
A chart is only as accurate as the birth time and place. The Lagna moves about one degree every four minutes, so an uncertain birth time can change house placements; when your Lagna sits close to a nakshatra pada boundary the report says so. Astrology and numerology are symbolic frameworks for self-reflection, not scientific forecasts. See the Disclaimer.
Questions
Does the AI calculate my chart or numbers?
No. Every planetary position, house, Dasha date and number is computed by code before any AI is involved. The AI receives those verified values and writes the explanation. It is instructed never to calculate, and its draft is checked against the chart; a section that contradicts the chart is rewritten.
Why might another website show a slightly different chart?
The usual reasons are a different ayanamsa, the mean node instead of the true node for Rahu and Ketu, a different house system, or a different birth time or place. A birth time a few minutes off can move the Lagna, because it shifts about one degree every four minutes.
How do you check the calculations are correct?
The Kundali engine is tested against real charts from established astrology software, matched on sign, house, nakshatra, pada and retrograde status, plus a dataset of over a hundred birth records checked for consistency on every change.
Can a report predict the future?
No. Reports are a symbolic framework for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
