Privacy Policy

Saavira AI Jyotish ("we", "us") treats your birth details — name, date, time and place of birth — as personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act). This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. By creating an account you consent to this processing for the purposes below.

What we collect

• Account: email address, mobile number, and a password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider).
• Birth profiles: full name, gender, and date, time and place of birth for each person you create a report for.
• What you type into the service: questions you ask in Q&A, and any optional question on a Kundali form.
• Payment records: order and payment IDs, amounts and any coupon used. Your card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay and never reach our servers.
• Basic technical data: sign-in cookies, and your IP address for security checks and abuse prevention.

We do not ask for Aadhaar, home address, religion or caste — a chart does not need them.

Why we use it

Birth details are the input to every calculation and interpretation in your reports. Your email and mobile are used to verify your account, send payment receipts and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Reports about other people

If you create a profile for someone else — a spouse, parent or friend — please make sure they are happy for you to do so. A profile for a child under 18 should only be created by their parent or legal guardian.

Who processes your data for us

• Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage.
• Vercel — hosts the website.
• Anthropic (Claude) — writes the interpretive text of AI reports and answers Q&A questions. To do this it receives the person's name and birth details together with the chart we have already calculated, and your question where relevant. Under Anthropic's commercial terms this data is not used to train their models.
• Our chart-calculation server — receives only the birth date, time and coordinates needed to compute planetary positions; no name or contact details.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — receives only the place-of-birth text, and only when a place is not already in our own atlas.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — a bot check on registration, which sees your IP address and browser signals.
• Razorpay — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant).

Some of these providers process data outside India, under their own security and data-protection commitments.

How long we keep it

Birth profiles and reports are kept until you delete them or close your account. Payment records are kept for up to 8 years to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements, even after account deletion, and are reduced to the minimum needed for that purpose.

Your rights

• Access and correction: you can see every profile and report in your dashboard. A profile's birth details can be corrected until the first report is generated for it; after that they are locked so a delivered report never silently changes — to fix a mistake, add a new profile or contact us.
• Erasure: Dashboard → Account → "Delete my data" permanently deletes your birth profiles and reports. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
• Withdrawing consent, or any other request about your data: write to us at the address below.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Database access is restricted per account, so a signed-in user can only read their own data. AI-written report content is sanitised before it is shown or exported.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above changes when we do.
